MK II Aux port

Featured Replies

Does every mk II come with an aux port seein as the radio has the aux function I've looked through the manual but to no avail ,if not then how easy/cost effective is it to have one fitted or fit , to prevent extra expenditure on fm transmitters . Many thanks

Yes it does...but the SD card is so good I never plug in my iPod as it doesnt show the track info on the Bolero screen

Depends whether you're referring to the facelift version of the MkII or not. Pre-FL only have an AUX socket on model year 2007 onwards.

EDIT: ...and you have the jumbo box (central armrest) option as that is where the AUX socket is.

Oh bunters I had to buy one without one , looks like its a trip to ice specialist , I thought I'd read somewhere that it was part of the cd changer unit in the boot !

If you just have the standard Stream HU it's very easy to install an adapter that will give you an aux-in. The downside is that you'll lose the CD-changer, as it uses its connection.

You just need a Connects2 unit, like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKODA-Octavia-2005-AUX-Interface-Adaptor-CTVSKX003-/250512542646?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a53b60bb6

It plugs into the back of the HU instead of the cd-changer plug, and has a 3.5mm jack you can plug into any mp3 player. You press the [CD] button twice to switch to it.

If you have the stream mp3 head unit you can wire an aux socket directly in and keep the CD changer. If you have the older one that won't play mp3 CD's you can splice in a switch to change between the feed from the CD changer and a Aux-in plug in one of the switch blanks above the gear lever like I did in my car... There are a couple of threads I've contributed to on this subject if the search function is working.

I have a 59 plate FL with a "Swing" cd player and no cd changer. Can i use a similar unit as the one listed to do the same thing? I used one in the past on my 06 plate Mk2.

I've no idea which forum to post this in: so hope this is OK.

Skoda Fabia Dance radio CD has AUX which the handbook says can take input - presumably 3.5 jack for my mp3 player. Where is the connection? If it is behind the radio itself how do I get the radio out and do I need anything else to connect? I have the Sony cable for jack connection.

Hope someone can help.

Sit in the middle of the back seat, plug in your PSP to the AUX, turn the sound up, get into any game big time.

People may look, but when waiting for a ferry etc who cares.
