Octavia Mk2 Alarm Confusion

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm starting to get the feeling I am doing something wrong as it was only yesterday I found out that the reason that only the driver door opened was due to the fact I had to push the unlock button twice on the key fob! I feel spoiled with my new vRS, there are just so many features that I'm getting used too!

My current problem is rather annoying, when I lock my car it seems around 8/10 times the alarm always goes off (this usually happens about 5 seconds after locking)! The simple fix seems to be straight away unlocking the car and then locking again and it doesn't go off again. The car is still under warranty from the garage I purchased it from so I will make sure to notify them of this problem. I am just wondering if this happens to anyone else or if I am missing something really silly (quite possibly).

What puzzles me is that it doesnt just go off randomly, its seems to be after i lock it. Im not sure what could cause such a thing.
