Have been trying to replace the arial on my '02 Oct estate, but it does not screw out. I am assuming that this is to stop people nicking them! Only problem is how do you replace them. Is this a one person job or do you need to take the inside liner out?

Are you absolutely SURE it wont unscrew? It is quite uncommon now to be fixed as it wont go through car washes safely without being removed. I would guess its the same fitment as VW's and they usually unscrew. It may just be a bit stuck!

I just bought a brand new base a week ago and the aerial doesn't come out either - it will unscrew so you can re-position it horizontally, but there seems to be a 'lip' at the end of the thread stopping it from coming out.

Do you need to replace just the aerial or the complete assembly, base etc?

have had no problems with the installation.

Apart from a bit of swearing in my case :p
