Engine bay detailing Fabia 2005

Featured Replies

I want to clean up my engine bay as I dont think its ever been done. A lot of grime and filth everywhere. Rust is starting to appear on the latches as well, so I want to protect against its spread.

Does anyone know what parts I should cover up to avoid water damage? I know the alternator is at the front of the engine, about half way down. You can see the copper wiring (or at least I think thats the alternator) The battery is already covered with the plastic lid... but anything else? air intake? Where is it? etc etc.

Anyone know a good APC. I have autoglym machine cleaner but I want something with a bit more power to get the stuff moving. Whats good at protecting against rust? Should I coat all the insides of the bonnet lid and latches with a "Quick Wax" to give it a bit of protection.

Pretty much a noob at this so please be kind :D

Edit:

I have the 1.2 12v Classic

Can't remember the exact engine bay layout of your car, but cover ABS unit and ECU if exposed. Best thing for rust is
