Hiya i am just about too buy a Skoda Felicia 97.

With a 87000 miles.

Im wanting too use the car as a project car.

Im going too modify it too euro spec.

At startup the engine seems fine.

On reving it seems too be down in power.

It has new ht leads and cap.

could this have someting too do with it?

Plus the owner says smoke was billowing out of the exaust and that there was a very oily smell in the cabin.

I thought this could be a head gasket but the coolent resiviour and there was no crust.

Anymore signs that headgasket gone?

Plus the body seems tacky.

Rusting in usual places wheel arches.

But for such old car isnt bad for £100
