Fabia 1 engine management light

Featured Replies

Hi folks

anyone any suggestions where to start with this? I have the engine warning light (electronic engine management) and traction warning light (traction control system) up on the dashboard. Fault codes have been read and are as follows:-

16785

17961

17604

17563

01314

The car has an occasional cold-start misfire where it hesitates on acceleration, but this clears within seconds of running and this only happens when cold. It has a new set of plugs in. The traction light warning doesn't come on until after about 10 minutes driving, the car appears to hesitate very briefly then this light comes on. Are the faults related? I'm not sure where to start with this.

Skoda Fabia 1.4 16V Comfort model, 2000 X reg.

thanks

17961 P1553 Barometric/manifold pressure signal ratio out of range

17604 P1196 O2 Sensor Heater Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 Electrical Malfunction

17563 P1155 Manifold Abs.Pressure Sensor Circ. Short to B+

01314 - Engine Control Module: No Communications

Possible Causes

* CAN-Databus Wiring/Connectors from/to Engine Control Module faulty

* Fault(s) stored in Engine Control Module

* Engine Control Module recently flashed or re-mapped

All unrelated but fuel pump relay may cause the first four. None of those codes relate to traction control. I assume the scanner used checked the ABS unit?

It can be also MAP sensor £50 and easy to replace.
