Drivethedeal deposit

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I am sure this is a simple and most likely stupid question - However I have used the search function and before I call DTD I thought I would ask the experts here:-)

I am looking at purchasing a skoda vrs from Drivethedeal and putting a cash deposit down of 3k. However before I can do this I would need to sell my current car and use that as the deposit money.

My understanding is that DTD will put me in contact with the dealer to arrange Finance and take £500 - Will they also require the extra 3k or will this be arranged when collecting the car?

Hope that makes sense:-)

The dealer takes £500 deposit when you place the order through DTD but you won't need to pay anything else until the car arrives at the dealer 3/4mths later!

Thanks alot !! That makes life alot easier:-) Will arrange today

3K won't be needed until car is ready, you need to make a small deposit at ordering to cover the dealers costs if you back out.

Thanks guys - I thought I would ask on here as I just needed a simple answer;-)

Just placing the order now!

When I placed my order through Drive the Deal the dealer took £1000 deposit. I presume they will take the same from you as it will inevitably be the same dealer.

I had to pay £1000 deposit - I was told this was because I ordered factory options on the car, and that it would have been £500 if I hadn't specified options.

I had to pay a similar amount as deposit for my spec'ed car. Think it was about 10% of the price.

...or 5 - 6 months! ;)
