Dealer Servicing

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've seem a few threads knocking about with people saying that servcing doesn't neccessarily have to be done by them and can be done by any VAT registered garage?

Is this definately true? There is one thing I hate and thats to be ripped off for work that I know can probably be done cheaper and better by my local Bosch Service garage. The guy is a memeber of the "good garage scheme" and has done plenty of work for me on past cars.

My car is on variable service but there is no way I'm leaving it 18,000 miles before I service it.

Cheers everyone

Yes. Garage has to be VAT registered and has to use genuine VAG parts for the bits that are under warranty.
