I drove the vRS and I need to say, I love it!

It's a very nice car to drive, smooth, not too noisy and comfortable. I didn't get much chance to put my foot down as it was a test drive after all. Oh well now I need to sell my car as they won't give me anywhere near enough against this. Wish me luck.

what car you got ?

Dont be afraid of putting your foot down on a test drive! I always do, you gotta get a feel for the car...

If you want a private test drive, Merrits in Aylesbury have a demo car (sure they still have) and the'l let you take it out alone so you can have a 'play'

when i tested the alf 147 gta the sales guy asked me to back off at slightly over 130 :D down a backroad lol

Must resist new front grill, Must resist new front grill :( :D

Have you looked at the Milotec grille?

I've got a renault clio 1.8 16v phase 1. When I was looking at the Seat Ibiza the salesman offered me

Is it true that all the vRS demo cars tend to be remapped for people so that they think the car is uber quick? something Mercedez do on pretty much every pre-booked CDI Engine.

No.

No.

A brief, but true comment :)

Sell your Clio on eBay. When I sold my Golf I got double what the dealer offered. Also, 10% APR is far too much. The dealer can more or less charge whatever APR he can get away with (within limits), it's up to you to hammer him down to something more sensible. Remember he also gets a rather lucrative commission on the finance you take out.

The main reason you got such a low offer on your car is because we would then have to do something with the car, it cant go on our forecourt so it will go to a trader. Cant think of many traders that would be interested in it so we wont be able to make any money back. Stoneacre have the advantage that they will stick any old tat on thier forecourt (no offence meant) and stich some kid up for 10 years finance on it, just look at their stock, see many SEAT's? Would be suprised if this time next year they still have the franchise.

Best bet is to sell your car privatley then use the money as a deposit or whatever, im sure a young lad like yourself would buy the car, its just a mater of finding the right person.

I've advertised it privately, so just waiting for someone to buy. It's in good condition and no lexus lights fully standard the way it should be.

I had the same question asking myselve. Whell, here in holland you pay 1500 euro more for a Furby vRS then you pay for an Ibi FR. I

May be that demo cars have a lot of miles on them, and so are nicely loosened up...

Does not look as nice IMO

... get a personal loan as Skoda Finance are charging 10% APR. This hasn't put me off, I will have a vRS.

If you are considering Skoda Finance, you WILL be able to haggle the dealer down to less. I have not committed to any finance prior to Delivery, however I have agreed 3.99% flat rate with the Dealer should I decide on it.

Think I'm gonna stay with a bank loan anyways and they are offering 6.7% APR which is marginally better.

I may have to try them and also Merrits in Aylesbury and see what they offer. I'm guessing they'll be around the same but worth a try. I tried haggling them down on the finance and the best they came out with is 8.3% which is still more than other banks.

And rememeber Alex if you do find a better deal I would put money on that our lot would match it. Its a pain in the **** waste of time I know but this is how things usually are.

It would be easier as you guys already have a black one waiting to be bought. I'll see what I can get. I've applied for a loan with Alliance & Leicester so I've gotta wait to hear back from them aswell, but the ball is rolling.

Where are good places to advertise my car apart from ebay and autotrader. I've put it up on the local crusie site and another community I'm apart of just need to get it on as many as possible to increase my chance.

Cheers

Have you tried any Clio forums?

I had a look over the black one today, wanted to PDi it but Ed said it wasnt sold....yet.

I to saw that black one today, what are the odds :D

Wouldnt recommend Merrits in Aylesbury, if you go there only go there to test drive their demo, not to buy. Of course thats IMO, I am sure many happy people have walked out of there happy.
