Fabia vRS or Seat Ibiza TDi FR

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm currently looking at getting a new car (one of the above) and was looking for some inspiration. I'm really stuck between the choice of the two coz there's not much between them. I test drove the Ibiza today and it is a very nice car indeed, a bit light on the steering from what I'm used to but still good. I've got a test drive in a vRS tomorrow so will be able to see if there's any difference. Everytime I go and see either of the cars I want that one more. I like the curvyness of the Ibiza but also like the boxiness (if that's a word) of the vRS. I went to my local Skoda garage today Pilling in Milton Keynes and saw a very nice vRS parked outside which has made me really want one, I'm pretty sure it's Ross Clarke's or a carbon copy if it isn't (where did you get that grill and how much as I want one if I go for the vRS, cheers  ).

What's everyone's opinions. I think there's not enough vRS's on the road in MK so should go for that.

Cheers

I would suggest you go for the Seat, Skoda Fabias are far too common round these parts, I can only think of one or two Ibiza drivers on here, another Ibiza driver would add another dimension to the conversation.

Will let Ross and the later questions.

Hi mate, i did see you (I was the chap in the glasses sat in reception) and yup the Fabia is mine. For more info on the grill look here...

Get a Skoda, if for no other reason than Skoda aftersales care (namely ours) is far superior to that of Stoneacre where both myself and Ali (the two main skoda guys at Pillings) used to work.

Sorry we didnt have a demo for you to try, we just cant seem to keep hold of them long enough as they get sold straight away, I did offer Ed mine but we thought that may have been a bit of an unfair test..lol.

Cheers

Ross

I own a VRs and have had a Seat in the past albeit ptrol.

Must say I would avoid Seat for one reason their customer service and dealers were very poor in my opinion in the North East.

Well I'm being taken out in the black vRS that you have out back tomorrow. He couldn't get hold of a demo vehicle from anywhere as you say as soon as they come in they go again. It all depends now what I get offered for mine as a trade in. The one thing I noticed was when I went to Stoneacres the guy was so pushy, offering me more and more for mine to get the sale (went up to

Nice one mate, good to see someone else going the way of the Furby, I traded my astra 2.2 sri for one of these bad boys, that was running about 200 bhp aswell, but about 24 mpg!!!!! i only had a 40 minute test with the car, but that was enough for me.

AvRS i see your a 19 year old lad from Milton Keynes, what are the odds I also happen to be a 19 year old lad from Milton Keynes! Get the Fab vRS we can help each other out then :D

Good stuff, then you won't be the youngest vRS owner you'll be joint ;)

I definately wanna get one, the Ibiza felt like a toy car. Can't wait to drive it, have you done anything to your's yet? What colour you got, I was thinking black or silver, but after seeing the two black ones today I'm going with black.

well its the same car so yes ;)

Thats good...

When i was talking to my dealer about the 2005 facelift he was convinced that the front grill was larger.

Not knowing any other vRS owners, i've never been able to compare !

The grill will fit as said before, it isnt bigger on 05 models they just changed the inner section.

My mesh is the std but it is painted.

Does anyone know if they fit the 2005 vRS ?

Yes it does, as mine is a 2005 model year.
