Awaiting a 1.2 tsi dsg Elegance in black placed order 2nd August and apparantly car is built await shipping might be here in 2 weeks?

So this is a real punt in the dark for me having had vw's in the Golf for a long time, it could go either way.

My question at this time is spec, it appears that I cant get an answer to will it have HHC and will it have rear disk brakes, it appears to depend on build date.

Given this mine is apparantly built as of 2nd August can anyone give a definate answer to what will be fitted.

Dont have the VIN.

You are lucky! I ordered mine on 23rd June, current ETA 15 October!

We had to wait 3 weeks for our black Fabia, if we went for the white Fabia which is what we wanted in the first place it was a 12 week wait.

Drums on the rear not discs and yes it will have HHC. Mine was built early June and I've not heard of any spec changes but then again who knows with SUK

Thanks for that, a bit dissapointed, how can drums work with ESP? I take it it has ESP? the dealership said it did having said that I dont think they know one way or the other!

With each day that passes I am getting the feeling I made a mistake in ordering this car, might just take a hit on the deposit and tell em to stick it.

if it's DSG then 105, as the 85 is only available in 5 speed manual.

sure you will be impressed when you get driving her.

To confirm all DSG cars come equipped with ESP as standard 7 speed also have HHC as well, so a good package.

My wife's current 56 plate Corsa has ESP fitted as an option with rear drum brakes, which is the first car with ESP and rear drums I'd come across.

Hoped that Skoda would supply discs but although early production cars appear so equipped certainly in Germany, it's sadly looking like they have switched to drums also, possible from MY 2011 (WK22/10) :S Wait and see how our Elegance is equipped when she arrives hopefully in September with the ESP Plus option.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in response.

Having consulted our Master Technician I can confirm that this vehicle will have drum brakes not disc as the ESP software has

been updated and works effectively with drum brakes.

Car arrived at dealer, looks realy very nice in black magic with glim treatment and beige interior and the elegance wheels set it off a treat.

ran VIN through VAG and it shows it as a Fabia ii combi classic mod year 2011....

Still dont really know if it has HHC will find out when I collect it later in week.

It should have HHC but has drums on the back as indicated by previous posters.

The TSi engine is excellent and the 7 speed DSG is a fantastic gearbox.

I'm sure you will be happy with it!

First impressions are what a very nice car to drive! much better than my old golf and very pleased at the ammount of room inside the car whilst the boot is smaller than my old golf the passinger are is about the same.

Still twiddling the bits and bobs, dsg is great climate is great, radio is ok, and what i suspected would be a complete no use item is actually very good reverse park sensor.

this is going to be a good buy I think.

still havent worked out if it has HHC................ah well
