I've got a curious situation.

A couple of months ago, the whole car began to shake (at times near violently) on starting up from normal operating temperature, especially if the engine had been running for a couple of hours with start/stops in London traffic.

Once the engine starts, then it runs smooth; the shaking/shuddering is only on start-up.

"Cold starts" are uneventful and smooth.

I should point out that the clutch and DMF were replaced last November (in case this has a bearing on the matter).

I took it to my local Skoda dealer, who advised: "there's something there, but not enough to identify the problem".

I was advised to go back when the problem got worse.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what the problem might be, or had a similar problem?

could be flywheel again though, i got 18months and only 33k miles out of a new flywheel on my last car
