What size star drive

Featured Replies

While changing my front light bulbs I dropped the plastic nut and it is now somewhere under the engine

So I now need to take the engine undercover off to retreve it. I am going to use the wifes car to go buy a star drive to take it off but was wondering if anyone knew the size required?

If you are really stuck

I'm certianly NOT telling you to do this  but some people use a 1/8" ( yes imperial ) hex allen key - it does do the job

- but don't round any off

Always use the correct tools

I have a maplins and a halfords near by that both have star drives in stock but want to make sure I get the right size. Since I will be taking the wifes car I will not be able to check until I get home and do not want multiple trips back and forth. I also believe in the right tool for the job.

T25 Torx for the screws, T30 for the back three that go into the subframe.

Cheers for that. This forum never fails to get the right answers quickly.

Edit: Bought the correct ones and retreived the nut now. Apart from dropping that the changing of the bulbs was very easy.
