OOPS my felicia is dead

Featured Replies

crashed out of a rally yesterday in my felly  we were 9th overall at the time and trying to catch the scooby infront tho,

for some reason the car was really unstable in the fast stuff and felt like it was steering from the rear at high speed,

we got as far as stage 7 when we took a small kink left flat in 4th (around 90ish i guess) and then the rear started a pendulam and i just ran out of road trying to catch it, i did get lock to lock 3 times and grass both sides of the road before a building got in the way which kinda stopped us pretty quick.

knocked a hole thru the side of the building and the car got catapolted round in the road to end up about 40 feet past it.

Thankfully i built it strong and it allowed us both to get out with no injuries abart from whiplash which you would expect.. Stopped the rally for an hour while they got the car moved (wouldn't drive lol i did try).

pretty much killed the car tho its even broken the gearbox casing so thats it for me i think now as i was thinking of selling up at the end of the year anyway.. anyway some camera fone pics

that's real bad luck jim, it's only a machine though so no real harm done, did you get yourself up the hospital to get checked out?

yes mate tis only metal important bit is that steve and myself are ok. yea were checked out onsite by the paramedics but might pop by hospital later as i keep going a bit light headed now so maybe a bit of concussion (my head or helmet did not hit anything tho)

Good to hear you're ok. :) :) :)

Could use a couple of the photos with a slogan:

Skoda: tougher than an old building! ;)

Jim! Bugger! Glad you're OK. Massive shame about the car though - gutted for you as I know how much work you've put into it over the years. :'(

Much as I'd love to, I fell my heart wouldn't be in it.

Is now a good time to volunteer Tom ;)

I wish we had a rally track here in Malta I swear I would not mind spending 10,000 euro just to compete in one race If I had the money that is,Sweet felicia16v that is soo cool.

is that an F20 gearbox on that jimbo?

Yes....

Yes....

:p i've still got a liking for a ford zetec powered felicia rather than a vx engine, i think i have skoda issues, my neighbours think i've gone completely nuts

Yes an F20 (well was) mate, a zetec would fit nicely and the small shafts share the skoda spline into the hub (as do the small vaux ones) so that bit is easyish lol

Sorry to hear this - glad your ok  As you know I have crashed a Felicia before now - but not as well done as that!
