can someone tell me if Halfords 5W/40 fully synthetic oil suitable for top up in a yeti petrol 1.2?? Thanks for any info.

Hi,

the oil you use must meet strict VAG requirements;

For petrol engines this is

VW 504 00 if you having your car serviced on the QG1 variable service program i.e. as indicated by the service indicator (20,000 miles or 2years, as a rule of thumb).

or

VW 502 00 if your using QG2 time and distance, 10,000 miles or 1 year whichever comes first.

The relevant QG code to your vehicle can be found on the data sticker in the front of the service book.

Which ever brand of oil you use it must have this VW 50...... code on the bottle, if not don't use it.
