Does anyone know where the contact switch is in the boot that activates the boot light when it is the boot opened or closed , on a skoda fabia comfort 2001? thanks

I just looked in the Haynes manual for you and apparently the boot light contact switch is integral to the locking mechanism and the switch itself isn't repairable or replaceable, therefore you will need to replace the entire locking mechanism if you are having problems with the boot switch. I guess you could try spraying some WD40 in the locking mechanism to drive away any water and lubricate it - you have nothing to lose if it's not working.

If that doesn't solve the problem, but you don't want to replace the locking mechanism and the light is staying on all the time and you want to stop the battery from going flat, remember you can remove the bulb.
