Skoda Octavia vRX on ebay!

Featured Replies

It's a 1.6 FSI dressed up as a vRS, and not well.

Wrong wheels, VRx seats (wonder what they are from), on stilts, wrong front and rear bumpers, etc etc.

Wouldn't touch that with a bargepole.

Worth every penny of the £102 current bid.

That is wrong in so many ways.....

Read the disclaimer at the very bottom of the advert. Its obviously a bitsa.

2006 06 Skoda Octavia 1.6FSi 115bhp vRX Special Edition

I have vague recollections of someone posting a scanned copy of a dealer advert for this some years ago....

Worth every penny of the £102 current bid.

Don't know if you read if correctly but my ebay site shows the price as £1020.00

Looks more like £1,020.00 to me.

looks like 10p to me! :giggle:

Looks like Audi A4 alloys, no badging on centre caps, VRx badges on rear seat look slightly ****-eyed. Smells a bit fishy after reading all the advert. emoticon-0149-no.gif

Strange how the eBay user name mentions Skoda, would lead you to believe they deal with Skoda's yet this is a car they dont feel they could sell on the forecourt. Dodgy!

Dont understand how the insurance will be cheap when its got a string of mod's too

No warranty - on a 4 year old car. Seller rating 83%.

NO!!!

I've never seen wheel arches so scared of the tyres

It doesn't have any mods - this is a dealer special edition, didn't you read the listing?? I like how they claim it's a 'low insurance group', why didn't Skoda think of fitting a low powered engine to the VRS to get the insurance down...

In all seriousness you're quite right, I suspect either this car wouldn't get insured at all or not insured properly which would mean no pay out in the event of a claim. The auction should really be pulled as it's massively misleading to those not that familiar with Skoda Octavias as it makes it out to be a stock model rather than a heavily modified car.

John

It could be insured easily as most seem cosmetic. As long as it's HPI and DVLA clear I don't see the problem if it could be had for around £1000

edit I do see why a dealer would want it off the forecourt as it looks awful.

So its a classic spec car with alloys and a vRS back spoiler.

I was quite dissapointed to see this didn't have a little badge on the back saying 'Turbo' :giggle:

I went to DM Keith when the MkII first came out and they had a "vRX" in the show room and it confused me no end. It's just a dealer special. Nothing to be worried about inho.

I'm fairly sure that's photographed down the side of the Simpsons dealership in Colne.

Having looked at the photos, I can understand why they're trying to flog that via eBay, rather than park it on the forecourt!

Could be a nice cheap runaround for somebody if the price doesnt shoot up?

That would leave some change to drop it off the stilts emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

i dont see what all the fuss is about, its just a boggo 1.6 that somebody has put cheapo alloys and a spoiler on, and had a leather retrim, maybe the dealer saw a gap in the market? or maybe he was just a misguided fool?

100% has to be for sale at Simpsons Skoda in Colne. The contact name in the advert is John Williams, who is credited as being the sales manager in the pelow post:

This detective lark is a piece of cake !

My vRS originally can from Colne and the 1st owner didn't have anything bad to say about them at all. It might not be to everyones taste and I can see why it is not being retailed, but will probably make someone a very decent and very cheap car.

Calm down you lot :giggle:

Yeah it's crap etc, but no-one is forcing you to buy it are they

LOL - I think the worst thing is that they've made up a fictitious model name for it! :dull:

But yeah, Simpsons Colne are a great dealership. Which is probably why the best idea is for this to go via eBay ;)
