Anybody own/drive a 140 DSG?

Featured Replies

This is my top choice for an SM but they seem to be as elusive as the Yeti itself.

Would be most grateful if anybody who has had a sighting would post their thoughts.

My mistake, misread, and got carried away.

Shame your so far away from them but Hobin (Salford) advertised the fact they have a demo recently My link

Thanks TP,

But as you say, a bit far away. I've driven a 170 DSG Superb and loved the power with the reservation that there is some lag followed by an almighty kick. Same principle as my old much lamented Amazon.

Nonetheless, if I could order a 170 DSG I would probably have done so ere now. As it is, I'd like to drive a 140 DSG Yeti before ordering, if at all possible.

Well, you could buy a 140 DSG and have it remapped to 170ish......

I've been driving a DSG 140 Octavia for the last 2 years, well ok a polo 1.4 manual now, and it was fine so I've gone ahead and ordered a SM 140DSG.

Problem is now I have to drive around in a polo until it arrives in mid december..emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Allams have got one but you better be quick !!

Exactly what I'm doing.

Coming down from a mapped Octavia vRS TDI with c.205bhp I couldn't bear to have 'only' 140PS and I lamented there not being a CR170 DSG Yeti (CR170 DSG in Octavia is not an option) so ....

..... I've ordered a CR140 DSG Yeti and plan to get it to Superchips as soon as possible after delivery.

PS> That Allams Yeti seems to be top notch; can't imagine they'll have it for long.

I've just been talking to the excellent James at Allams.

Decided to give it a miss and be patient. Too far off the spec i was looking for. Will probably give in and order one off the list before the end of the month.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just called in to the Skoda dealer in Pickering to have a locking problem looked at on my lads Fabia and noticed they have a new 60 plate SE 140 DSG on demo. They also had two other SE 4x4 on site but manual, both sold one being the previous demo.

edit: one of the sales guys was telling me they are currently quoting twenty weeks for delivery on Yeti orders :o

Congratulations to you and Kitten!

Fortunately for my bank balance I've been too busy to worry about it for the past month or so. Guess I'll have to start in earnest soon.

Enjoy your new SM!

My 140 DSG is on order - this morning I heard the build week is #47. Ages to go!

While I'm waiting though, Briskoda is a great place to indulge in a bit of vicarious SM ownership.
