A/c O1 evaporator freeze

Featured Replies

On my octavia after a longer drive with a/c on (climatronic) evaporator and pipe which go from dryer to evaporator freeze. Vag com says no faults. On board diagnosis on channel 40 is -51°C. I think there is a problem with evaporator temperature sensor, but I dont know where to find it.In etka I only found 1KO 907 543A, on my old is 1J0 907 543. When I disconnect that sensor on channel 6 temperature drops to -51°C, before was arround 30°C, so I think that sensor is not evaporator sensor. What causes that pipe and evaporator freeze? Please help me. The car is year 1999.

Sorry about my english. I m from Slovenia and we also have that kind of forum but nobody had ever have that problem. Our forum http://www.skoda-team.com/

Best regards

I have no idea how cold the evaporator and its pipes get, but it's quite normal for them to drop below 0C.
