I have ordered Octavia Green line Hatch back on 22 May 10 and was advised 13th august as my build date. My Dealer called me to advise that they messed up my order and the option i have selected which is Jumbo box with automatic climatic control and aux input has not gone to the factory.

So to compensate my dealer advised me that he can either retro fit a MDI device (Even though it is factory fitted option) or can provide me with Parrot MKI 9200 hands free kit installed on my car along with Supaguard.

Can any-body advice me, If i use my iPhone with MDI will i be able to charge my iPhone. I know i can do this with Parrot system. And if i use my iPhone/iPod to play music will i be able to get album artwork on my car radio screen if i go with MDI device. (Obviously dealer doesn't know answers to this Questions) ?

No current skoda headunit can display any album artwork, no matter what the source. When connected via MDI, you browse the albums, artisits and playlists on the headunit using an easy to use interface. You can also connect other devices to the MDI, not just iphones. For example, USB self powered HDDs, USB Memory sticks, or standard MP3 player. Imagine copying all your music to a 320GB external HDD and leaving it in your car, no need to connect the iphone at all.
