Wierd Wiper Problems

Featured Replies

So something wierd is going on with the wipers on my Scout.

1) The rain sensor no longer works, but will do one wipe if you flick the sensativity switch.

2) With wipers on constant, when I stop at traffic lights so do the wipers.

Any ideas?

Not sure about the first bit but the second one is a feature of the wipers. They will slow down to a slow intermittent when stopped. This prevents the wipers screeching when stopped. If on intermittent they slow even further.

guess that the itermitant is at fault then, hence they are stopped rather than just slowing down

Make sure the glass over the sensor is spotless.
