Sagem myx2 "stopped sending"

Featured Replies

Hi Briskodians,

SWMBO has a Sagem myx2 that has suddenly decided to stop sending texts!. It works ok recieving texts and making and recieving calls........anyone have any idea whats wrong?. I could take it back, when I find the reciept, but I'm hoping its something simple that I/we have overlooked :)

1. clean the sim card

2. do a manual network selection

3. check the sms centre no., you will find this in txt settings (sending profiles) -what network are you on? If o2 I can advise you of the no.

Hi Day Tripper,

I've cleaned the sim (isopropyl alcohol)

didn't know how to do a manual network selection, but when I switched it back on it just chose "orange" :)

checked the sms centre no 44797310*** ........now, I don't know if that is the right number if it isn't then how do I find out?

Hi Day Tripper,

Me again, just swapped sims with another phone. It works now so it must be a defective sim.......now where is that receipt :)

It may not be a defective sim, the phone has a sms centre no. stored in it, it may have worked when you did the sim swap as the other phone may have the correct sms centre no. the sms centre no. is stored on the actual phone not the sim.

Orange customer services will tell you the centre no. if you tell me the make and model phone (before 6pm today) i can find where the network selection and centre no. feature is.
