My review of Seat Sport Strut Brace

Featured Replies

Just fitted it, followed the article on here and it took about 30 mins.

First impressions:

Much more responsive steering, you wont realise it until you fit it how much of a difference there is, it responds to the slightest turn of the wheel.

Torque steer seems more controlled, unsure as to why but it does seem to get the power down much better.

Cornering is feels improved, not in speed, but because you know what the steering is doing you are able to push on knowing the limit & playing around it, whereas it's a bit scary until you do.

The turn in ability, what can I say, you point it and it seems to go.

The ride doesnt seem to suffer at all, you can sense the stiffness through the wheel, but the ride comfort remains unchanged.

NOTE*

I didnt have a torque wrench so couldnt get the bolts to 25nm, however when I removed the bolts from the car in the first place, I noticed how tightly they were held on. I thought it BEST to tighten it back up to that level and it seems to have worked (I am getting a torque wrench tomorrow so will be able to adjust it then).

The best

Good review... have you thought about copying it into the reviews section?

:) Might just do that LOL

EDIT

Done! :D

I recall that someone else had problems with it knocking against the airbox. How much clearance do you have on yours? Good write up

Can you just remind me what the part number is?

or you could use SEARCH!

Yep. ;) Although searching for "strut brace part number" gave me about 10 threads, and only about the 6th or 7th one I tried produced what I was looking for.

But it did work...lol.

Will it adversely affect the strut brace because I have tightened more than 25nm? it seems ok, and as the saying goes - if it aint broke dont fix it.

Nah youll be just fine.
