hi guys bought a octavia II 2.0l tdi 140bhp pd it has 116000 on the clock and about 10k ago started to judder on idle had lots of work done like throttle body, throttle pedal, injector loom, and it is still juddering also had a set of gearbox mounts wich it has distroyed it has no fault codes any ideas .

i have the same engine, had mine from 20k buy started having the light judder after cam belt change which was not done from the skoda dealership ( MISTAKE), i just had the inlet manifold changed and that has helped quiet a bit but my mechanic keeps saying that this judder is from the dual mass fly wheel, thot i'll share this info with you

thanks for the quick reply i am going to take the manifold off this week and clean it as my repair bill for the car is up to £1000 as for the dual mass flywheel do you no of any way of checking them without taking the box off thanks 5

i bought mine with 86000milesand at around 90k miles mine judders the odd time on idle ,but the revs dont go up and down , and i asked the question here before and sum people said it was a charteristic off the bkd engine, ive 140 on the clock now and it still judders the odd time ,but have no faults showing and its still goin great

mine judder all the time and is gettin worst had it to lots of garages including tjhe dealer and no 1 can find a fault

Look at the dmf sticky thread in the general maintenance section for inspection details.

DMF sounds right, I have the same thing, changing it soon, is there a noise as well when you are in Nuetral?
