Electric Window autoclose on lock

Featured Replies

I understand that the car's settings can be changed to allow windows to open/close when keeping the lock button pressed down on the remote of a Fabia II, this is similar to the key being inserted into the door lock and held whilst locking. I am only interested in windows closing when the car is locked from the remote, is this something that can be set by a dealer/VAG-con-enabled garage?

On my Octavia the windows will close when the close button on the remote is held down, it also happened on my old Fabia vRS, though only on the front windows obviously, does this not happen on your Fabia?

My windows on 2010 Fabia will go up and down with the remote by holding the button too.

This is listed in the owners manual as working from the door lock or remote.

Have you tried it Kanga?

Think that it only applies to the facelift models though, know you have to use the key and hold it in the lock to do it on my 57 plate model.

I tried This last night and it wouldn't work, this morning I tried it by putting the key in the door lock and this worked it also now works by using the key fob. So I think it is activated by first using it in the door lock.

Theres a bit in the manual which tells you how to "reset" the windows after the battery has been removed for a while which involves turning the key and holding for x amount of seconds. It also restores the "one touch" window closing with the buttons

I assume this also does it for the remote

I'd seen the bit in the manual about the key and this does work, but I'm looking for windows closing with a single click of the keyfob. I have seen it done on oher Skodas by holding down the lock button on the key, but it also opens the windows when unlocking.
