after some advice

im selling my seat leon cupra alloy

for something more euro

ive got 18 inch by 7.5j now but i want to go to 18ch by 9j

but i have like 3 inch dish

anyone got any advice or help with fitting

btw got coilovers so height can be played with

225 are generally the widest you can go without rubbing issues, you can of course play with offsets and ride height to aid this.

stretch in case all else fails?

ive got 225 on atm but mate ordered a set of bbs same size and has rubbing issues on struts

then you may be in da Sh@t :S

so you are getting rubbing on your 225 lcr alloys on the strut (fronts i take it)?#

whats the offset et 35 or 38 iirc?

next option i guess is spacers, but you may need to increase height. how low are you?

what coilovers?

what about 8 front 9 back:smirk: hows the money flow for margins of error bud?

also hows your views on stretched tyres?

if you peek toyo say 225/40/18s are good for 9s

no i have 225 on my leons my ap coilovers have like 3 threads left but i know they have 2 go up

my new wheels came in 2day and laquer issues

and my mates had his bbs ch in 9 inch but 18inch and having to use 3mm spacers

stretch look good but imo are not worth the risk, less sidewall protection (for the missus of course) more likely to damage tyre or force tyre of the rim when driving fast.....

wouldnt have thought you would need them, the spokes dont come back into the wheel to much at all to foul the caliper, the et is right anyway.

reps ofcourse i cant afford 2k-3k

but my mate works for r-tec and got me a cracking set

wont et35 9s come close on the inner? curious? extra 12mm either side? a extra 5mm i make it my 19s will sneak out the arch which is why i was thinking 215s to get the tyre pulled back in under the thing and no hungry arch eating rubber

although thats a et30 so the whole rim shifts out the 5mm

ummmmmm or ive just been given the option of 8 fronts and 9 rears

fwd car, want more tyre on front than rear if anything, so will just be cosmetic, 1 set of tyres will be more stretched than the others, now if you were fitting 225 fronts with 275 rears...that would look more hotrod

TBA im not sure what gap you get between inside and rim , my 8x20s sit almost flush with the arch

tell you what, lee got 9s on the rear mate and 215s

he is sound so give him a pm i think it works out about et32 on the rear iirc

its not the rears that worry me its the fronts with shock and brake caliper

well anyways its goin in for a test fit 2moz alloys only

et 32 rear on 9s, similar on front would work with trimming the arch liner, id be chopping the lip on the front arch too persoanlly. personally think 9 on front is a bit ott, 8s would fill nicely with the right offset
