Ive got mine through Sky Insurance this year. As said before, they give a discount for Briskoda members.

25 years old, 7 years no claims, no points and mine is £420 for the year with the remap declared. Magic. Previous insurers Elephant were quoting me £650.

I got clipped by a lorry in April, he admitted fault at the scene provided details, I had a witness to was happy to give his details.

My ins renewal came up two months later and I couldn't do the rounds for a better quote because they hadn't bothered to chase the other insurer so still listed the accident as being partially my fault.

4 months later they finally give me a call to say it's all fixed they've recovered from the other insurer but meanwhile I've had to accept my renewal without argument which was about £100 more than I could have had (with the same company) but with a much higher excess.

Bunch of cunny funts they are.

As a note my mate, who used to be a claims assessor, told me that I should have claimed directly from the at fault driver's company, that would have speeded up the process.

Some have mentioned Sky Insurance. Just as a note though, they wouldn't cover the WHOLE of the postcode area I'm in though (WA) because of some higher risk areas (what like any postcode area?). Very short-sighted in my view, considering the area I live in. But apparently that's the underwriter's decision; other brokers were happy to quote however.

I went with Brentacre again this year, as they beat quotes from CK and AF. To give you an idea, that's the first and only time I've ever renewed with an insurance company. Usually moving to a new company got me the best deal.

Just a few things to think about - especially if you're in a 'M' postcode around Manchester - perhaps Sky won't cover those either??

Cheers,

Steve
