Tracking your order - how?

Featured Replies

I read on other threads that people are able to monitor the status of their order - how can you do this? I looked on the Skoda UK website but nothing obvious as to how. Help...

Ask your dealer for a build date

My wife's vRS is build week 39.

It takes about 3 weeks to reach the dealer after that

Thanks. I'm aware that mine is week 40 (previously 41), however I've read that some here know when their vehicle is on a specific ship etc. I was curious as to how such information can be obtained.

I asked my dealer, who clearly recognized the train spotter in me and provided me with with the VIN (chassis number) together with the shipping line and date of sailing. Despite much mocking from my wife and daughters I've tracked my car on its journey to New Zealand, mostly using this site. Today it arrived in port at Savannah, Georgia, USA so a quick Google for "Savannah webcams" and I watched the ship sail into port, thus:

From there it's off through the Panama Canal, then on to Tahiti, finally arriving in Auckland on the 22nd Sep.

if only u could track it in the skoda system too. i.e. "order recieved date", "production build date", "factory exit date" etc etc.

even better would b if u could track the car going through the various build checkpoints during its assembly process!!

THAT would be awesome!!

i wonder if skoda cars bound for oz also take this alternate route too? how long is the entire journey take this way?

the route that i'm aware of is:-

- BREMERHAVEN (GERMANY)

- SOUTHAMPTON (UK)

- PORT ELIZABETH (SOUTH AFRICA)

- EAST LONDON (SOUTH AFRICA)

- DURBAN (SOUTH AFRICA)

- FREMANTLE (WA, AUSTRALIA)

- MELBOURNE (VIC, AUSTRALIA)

- PORT KEMBLA (NSW, AUSTRALIA)

- BRISBANE (QLD, AUSTRALIA)

I think ships bound for Oz go both eastbound and westbound, because the ship carrying my car goes West through the US to Auckland, then on to Oz and finally Singapore. The attached snap of my vessel's itinerary might give you an indication on timeframe (red indicates ports already sailed from):
