Just a little feeler into were people in the West/South Yorkshire Area(s) would want a meet, if any at all.

I've never done anything like this before and would welcome any sort of feedback at all good or bad.

The last one i went to was in Wakefield, was an alright little place decent size car park with a reasonable pub.

Another good place were i used to go to was a place called "The Old Post Office" just off the M1 towards Huddersfield/Barnsley way.

I would be interested but sometimes work away so cannot say for definite and it would be my first meet. Wakefield area sounds good to me!!

Ok fella, bit of advice seen as you asked. If you are gonna sort out a meet, you need to give plenty of notice to every one. A good 3-4 weeks tends to work well. Don't just leave it open ended i.e. pick a few locations (generally pubs with big car parks) to meet and dates for people to choose from and see which is most popular. I've found in West Yorks we have a lot of active members over near Bradford so this is where most of our meets have taken place recently as it is easier for people to attend.

What will be happening? Will it be for a drink and a chat? Summat to eat if anyone wants i.e. pub that serves good food, or will it be/include a drive out as well? You could meet at one particular location and then drive to a specific pub etc.....

These things don't always come together as planned or at all for that matter. So don't get down hearted if you don't get a big response.

Another good idea is to look at previous recent meet threads and see who attended or showed interest in attending. PM these members pointing them to your thread and ask them if they fancy it :yes:

Its a rough 20 minute drive from Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield. "Huddersfielders" are lucky as its only 15 minutes away

The pub is an old pub from the 1900's but links back to the 15th centurywhen it used to be an inn. It is Family friendly and even has a play house for the kids if people planning bringing their children. Also it has a restaurant as most pubs do but the best thing is its "2 For 1"

it has a massive car park so plenty of space for us too.
