Waiting and hoping!

Featured Replies

I ordered my 170hp 4x4 Elegance two weeks ago but still have no build week. I had intended waiting until next summer (when my Octavia Scout will be 3) but having seen delivery delay posts on this site, and with the offer of sealing a deal at the current VAT rate (and current Yeti price, together with trade-in for my car at current mileage) I saw no point in waiting.

I opted for Cappuccino - I'm not totally sold on ithis colour (which is what I have on the current Scout) and wondered about Muscavado, but my wife likes Cappuccino and I thought it politic to opt for that when I had to come home and say 'By the way, I've bought a new car'! - and although I had been keen on a Ghobi sand interior, the salesman told me it would clash with the bodywork. With no live examples to see, I played safe and went for the Onyx, but I wonder if that was right?

However, since I've no idea if I'll even get the Yeti before I die, perhaps it doesn't really matter!!

Welcome to the SMOC. As to a build week in 2 weeks... try two months. It took that long before I got a build week. And some people on here have been waiting even longer.

As to the colour and upholstery. Click on this Skoda Global brochure link: http://new.skoda-auto.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Catalogue/Yeti/10_Yeti_Catalogue_ENG.pdf

Then go to the exterior colour page and you will see a matrix showing all the colours and which interior goes best with it. You will also note that your dealer told you total porkies and that Cappuccino in fact goes very well with both Onyx or Ghobi:

Sod the matrix matey, if you like Gobi then go with Gobi - I ordered Candy White but still chose Gobi as it will be mainly me that sees the inside of the car so couldnt care less what anyone else thinks, they just see the outside !!

As I was told over and over on here, go for what you like and dont worry about what anyone else thinks !

Here here to redandwhitepaulys comment. It is your money and up to you how you spend it, how does the salesman know that Gobi sand interior doesn't go with Capuccino paint? Let him justify his comment otherwise go with what you want!

Well said that man lol

If anything I'd have said that Gobi would go fine with that colour. Would certainly brighten the interior up nicely. Your new car, your choice!
