Sony mex-bt3800u - Is it compatible with Fabia VRS?

Featured Replies

Any single din sized stereo is going to fit, and double dins will also fit if you remove the storage tray. As for opinions I know nothing of this particular model, and while many will tell you Sony car stereos aren't great, enough people seem to buy them. I'd recommend trying to download a manual, and if it does what you want for the right price then why not? I have a cheap Pioneer which does everything I need (nothing fancy) and sounds SOOO much better than the Symphony ever did. I don't miss the cd changer.

I used to have one of those fitted, good head-unit. Easy to use on the move.

Used a USB extension lead from the front USB slotted, then feed through to the glovebox.

USB stick is a bit vulnerable sticking out the front.

A word of caution though: When plugging the ISO connection block in, you may need to cut the remote aerial/telephone mute connections.

The some Symphony headunits used these connection to communicate with the comfort controller, and when I plugged my sony in, it dissabled the key fobs .

Skoda stealership had to recode keys, £40 :dull:
