I know what you mean mate, Roads up that way are POO! went up week or 2 back to visit family and OMG shocking.

225 40 18 18x8 et35 std suspention with a slight load used to catch rear arch liners slightly, Weitec coilovers lowered to this:

took a full car to catch.

now Ive got the car set at a few mm lower than std on the rear and 15-20mm lower on the front so still looks fairly std unless you look. and I dont get any rubbing.

your mad for wheels mate lol. you got board with rubber bands?

Edited by billy2981

Im after genuine BBS/ch mate in 19s

Rims are ny 15 then need tyres and some pcd adaptors :)

So i can pinch them for my next car too :)

it def looking like 215/35/19s are the only option, 225s seem like would def be arch munched :smirk:

Was thinking about lowering the car slightly but I often see pictures where the car is hanging lower at the rear which I absolutlely hate so I'm holding off for now

cheers

Me too mate, hence coilovers. you can set them to what you want. I found that going too low makes the ride terible and also the handling is naff too. the hight I got is spot on Ive found.

Never thought I'd say it but yeah I reckon that needs lowering!

Not much, just 20mm or so.

It just looks a bit odd like that. I think it's because they are 18" it makes the car sit much higher (and it's not a VRS so it sits high anyway). Aren't the std wheels on the TDI 90 15" or 16"?

18"x7 dezent motion alloys et38 with 10mm hubcentric spacers all round, the alloys are covered with 225/40/18 rubber & the car Is sat about 35/40mm lower B)
