Who uses 185/55/15

Featured Replies

Noticed on the inside of my fuel cap my vRS can take 185/55/15 tyres. I currently am on the normal 205/45 16"

Any benefit to be had from going to 15"? and would i need to change my alloys or do they go straight on? i've got oem skoda ones

considering switching to 185/55/15 for winter as the tyres are about 20% cheaper

No, no and no.

for starters you would need 15" wheels

205/45 16

185/55/15

that last number is the radius of the wheel.

That sticker is universal for all Fabia

Like sunroof says, need smaller wheels for a smaller tyre, you can get fluctuation in the tyre wall size and width of the tyre but not the radius.

That sticker doesn't mean your car can take those tyres - it's a standard sticker for all Fabias that gives tyre pressures for a particular tyre size, the latter depending on model!

There is only 3.2mm difference in the Rolling Radius, which you can easily have in tread levels (old and new tyres), so there would be no problem fitting them. The only difference is they are 20mm narrower per tyre, which is probably better in snow.
