I'm hoping someone here can help me find the right size (exactly) of wheel/tyre combination will fit my Octavia vRS mk2 so that I can buy a set of winter tyres. The car is currently on 225/40 ZR18s (from new).

It seems impossible to find a (low cost) set of steel wheels in the UK that will fit.

Help and ideas appreciated.

Octy 16" alloys with 205/55/R16 fit just fine over 312mm brakes.
