immobiliser problem

Featured Replies

recently i decided to fully strip out my mk1 glxi mainly for fun track use

in doing so i though id have it on a push button start system which i did with one of my old cars but it was cheap and not a skoda so no problems

but wat ive done is break the immobiliser ring on the end of the ignition and now i cant start it

has anyone got a quick fix suggestion on how to disable it or even get it started

if i cant sort it the car will be broken for parts and then wats left will be scrapped by order of SWMBO

please help i dont want to get rid of it

We can disable the immobiliser for you but it's not a DIY thing

oh right how long does it take and whats it going to cost me

What engine is it?

Can't you just get another immobiliser ring from a breaker to replace the broken one?

They are a bit tricky to remove from the ignition barrel though, much easier to do if the barrel is removed from the steering column.
