At Last! I've NEARLY got it!

Featured Replies

My new vRS arrived at the dealers on Friday .... just been to visit it. It looks awesome in white. The new dash (with maxidot) looks great and the sunroof brightens things up no end.

They have it all prepped, mud flaps on etc. Goes to a local specialist to have the towbar fitted tomorrow (will have my eyes pealed as they will be driving past my school to get there!), then collect it on Saturday.

The big challenge (!!) then is to get 500 or more miles on it for the following Friday as we are off with the caravan. Have changed our booking to the Edinburgh Caravan Club site which is a gentle 20 mile run just in case.

Big cheers to Stuart at West End Skoda in Broxburn who as always has been a pleasure to deal with.

Roll on Saturday! :)

Mud Flaps on VRS? Can the dealer manage to fit? Front / rear? I have a VRS on order and my dealer will try, but officially they are not available. Some owners have modified mud flaps to fit.

Interested to know more

Thanks

You wont be dissapointed with the car, i wasnt with mine!

What weight Caravan are you towing? Would be interested to know as a fellow VRS owner and soon to be caravanner!

When I got my current vRS in March 2009 the dealer said they wouldn't fit the rear. I asked for a set and fitted them myself following instructions on here. In the meantime the dealers tried it themselves and now have fitted them to many vRS's.

Hi Rob

Currently towing 1310Kg - a 2010 Swift Island Jura (Charisma 230 dealer special).

As a lifelong caravanner I can say my current vRS is the best car I have ever towed with ... no reason why the new one shouldn't be the same.

In many thousands of towing miles it hasn't stepped out of line once. Power is abundant. No traction issues with my manual version.
