Where do I start.

The mysterious Stephanie from TRAX offers the forum 20 FREE entries and Special Stand places plus half price Track Times via ColinD – a late very special offer and I know not why.

Colin posted the offer to forum members on the 20th August.

I reply late but still get offered a place but have to pick up ticket and pay for track on-site.

Arrive at TRAX and ‘track’ down free ticket and eventually locate Briskoda Stand only to be told they are expecting only 2 cars from Briskoda. Second Briskodian never appears

Find the mysterious Stephanie true to her word has reserved track time at £15 – duly paid and found to be in an interestingly named ‘Redline’ session at 14.50 hours, begin to worry that this is for seriously capable cars and drivers.

Anyway arrive at session to find just me and 1 other car have the track session to ourselves – yes just the 2 of us have a whole track session to ourselves. While an experience I am unlikely to every have again it was both exhilarating and frightening at the same time – an empty GP circuit in front of me was difficult to take in, the other car was much faster, properly track prepared and lapped me.

Well I found the new GP track to be much harder than the old one, the new and revised corners seem to go on forever and with no other cars to give an indication of line or braking points the whole thing was a real ‘experience’ – one I an glad I had but would rather not repeat.

Sorry guys you missed a great session at a great price.

Trax was really poor this year. They moved the 0-60 challenge to the other end of the circuit which didn't give the same atmosphere, the weather didn't help either.

Weather improved. I wasn't happy with the 0-60 being moved though you're right. Saw your octy, my mate pointed it out, was opposite my clubs stand next to the Clios yeah?

I enjoyed the show, probably smaller than last year but still the best 1 day show around!

We have in previous years had a very good attendence at the event, I dont really know what went wrong this year. Maybe the demographics of Briskoda members is such that it is not popular anymore.

Unfortunately the Octy wasn't mine, we were in a 'stag do' transit minibus. You should have seen the looks on the stewards face when the stag did a 0-60 in it!

What happened was, I went to Edition 38, and there simply wasn't the take-up of interest to go.

NEXT year will be BIG though, I promise that! I am focussing on making TRAX 2011 & Briskoda a good one. More details to follow when I know more.
