Changing grille mesh

On my front grille that is badgeless and "open" the grille has got some paint chips etc and looks a bit rubbish up close. Is the grille mesh easy enough to change or is it worth masking up the grill and putting a layer of spray paint over it?

If it's the same as the milotec one I got, just 6 screws and it's off.
