Variable boot floor

Featured Replies

While considering what extra options to add when I call the dealer on Monday (see previous posts re electric driver's seat and heated washer nozzles) I was wondering about the variable boot floor (I'm not ordering a spare wheel). Is the variable floor worthwhile? Has anyone actually seen one in operation?

Thanks in advance for any advice. This is such a useful forum!

If you want a flat load floor from the boot lip for day to day use but the facility to make the boot bigger for going away then it's ideal. My dad has one in his Superb and it appears to be a reasonably robust bit of kit.

Not sure what spec otherwise your ordering but would advise the rough road pack and if a 4x4 the off-road function.

Kitten and I have the variable boot floor in our SM and it's worth having.

We have a boot liner on top and it looks like thats the bottom, so you can use the space underneath to store secret stuff.

Be warned though, it's not lockable

Thanks for this. I've ordered a 170 4x4 Elegance with rough road pack, sat nav and heated windscreen.
