19mm hose

Featured Replies

I am assuming if I take the elephant approach (at least to start with), I'll need a meter or two of the stuff (if I want to vent midway down the vehicle.

My local "car" shop sells 3/4inch pipe for £2 for 30cm (might be able to haggle a bit as they are closing down....), but that seems rather expensive. ebay has one seller of goodyear stuff (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOODYEAR-19mm-3-4-Heater-Water-Coolant-hose-tube-pipe-/290136672749) for for £5.50/metre (inc postage).

Thanks,

Matt

Got mine from Halfrauds, 19mm heater hose, about a fiver for 2m IIRC

I used a washing machine waste pipe. The rubber end fits perfectly and it does the job for the elephant mod but aint that good to look at. I find if I close the bonnet though it looks much better.

Edit to say that my local 'rip off' hardware shop only charges £4 for a 2.5m waste pipe, or a visit to the local tip with a knife to cut the hose off a broken washer or dishwasher may do the job until you upgrade to a catch can and need some pretty looking hose. Just an idea but I guess you want it to look good.

Ideally wanted it to look good, and discreate - a bit of grey washing machine pipe kinda gives the game away - I assume you might need to be a little more careful with the routing of it to ensure it does not melt?

I'll check out Halfords in the meantime, but will also pop into the tip too - nice idea, I like it

Who said I was going to upgrade from this mod? I like to do things on the cheap :giggle:

I will post some pics if I get the chance.
