Worth it on a tight budget

Featured Replies

I am a young student trying to smarten up the look of my Classic 1.4 Blue

I wanted to put some black alloys on my car, but then I spotted these

Cheap and I think they might look okay, not as smart as VRS alloys sprayed black but you think these will look smartish on a cheap budget?

Also getting my windows tinted with in the next few weeks, could you think of any other changes which could be made cheaply and easily?

Fortunately for you your car comes with 14" steel wheels so you couldn't fit these 15" trims even if you did take leave of your senses and think it was a good idea :giggle:

Best thing to do if you're on a tight budget is to put any spare money aside ready for useful things like petrol, servicing, tyres and repairs rather than squandering it on cheap modifications. To be honest cheaply modified car looks worse than a tidy original car in my opinion.

Pack it in you two! :p

Can you not remember being young and getting a small car to start you off? Don't you remember wanting it to look different from the rest of that model? I know I did all that when I got my first car.

I say go for it williamson112. Don't listen to the sensible brigade or the style police (who think if it's not a vRS with all the expensive shiny bits then it's not worth having)!

You might find that just spraying the current wheels a different colour could work quite well (depending on colour of course). I've seen a few steel rims that have been painted and look quite good.

my friend has some 15" golf gti alloys :)

i think their 15"

I had them on my Fabia, altho...the tyres are clearly the wrong profile ;) think he's open to offers maybe!
