I still have to determine whether the car will automatically indicate a certain number of miles before the next service.

You will get a little spanner appear where the mileage is displayed.

There are a couple of different types of service. OIL and INSP (I think... )

which will also display in the same place if it needs doing alongside the spanner

but this will only display on startup. The spanner will remain until the service indicator

is reset.

IIRC the spanner will pop up and either oil or INSP will flash up for a few minutes after you start the engine, it will then go back to total miles.

Mine came up based on every 15,000km, ( 9, 375 miles) but still gives you a miles-based indication of how long to go.

there was one year when we didn't use the car so much, so that time round the spanner appeared with a countdown to when a year would have gone past.
