I was looking at the options - bit of a cheek charging £35 for floor mats !! My present vRS came with them - just changed the rather worn drivers mat.

I just wondered about cruise control , most of my driving is city or country roads , is it something I would never use ?

I only tend to use the cruise on motorways, hardly ever on country roads and never in town

I'd get cruise specified as an option as i find it handy for setting when you go into a restricted speed area.

Many a time i've set it only to go by a scamera van and I know it saved me from getting points.

Having said the Wiltshire have (or about to) got rid of the safety camera unit.

I use cruise loads and rarely use motorways. I use it to keep my license in 30,40,50,and 60 limits. Its so easy to get carried away in a VRS!

Only had my vRS a couple of weeks BUT have found cruise control excellent for 30/40 mph - far too easy with DSG to let speed creep up and one of the local "cash machines" favourite parking points is on a downhill section of road - thought it would only be good for motorway

I agree, cruise control is very useful when going through 30/40 mph villages with mobile camera vans - keeps the points down and was an essential option to order on my new vRS Estate.

Yep , I agree cruise control is useful in 30/40/50 etc areas.

I do have a GPS speed camera detector which "shouts" at me if I travel above the speed limit in mobile camera zones.

If I can get any form of discount I may include cruise control as its not very expensve.

OK , ordered new Fabia RS in black today. I am having the dark chrome wheels even though its not a true black behind the chrome. From a distance it does look black and the sales guy offered to paint them black if I did not like them. Usual extras climate control , parking sensors etc.

Delivery is expected some time this century well Feb/March.

I took the offer of 0% finance - well why not.

PS the sales guy did know the MDI cable IS supplied.

It certainly is !!! At least is gives me more time to find the deposit money.

Luckily my present vRS has no problems and MOT/service is not due till August.
