Hello from rural aberdeenshire!

Hi to all!

Im Andy and ive followed this forum for over a year now and find it very usefull.ive finally got round to joining your forum!

My wife karen and i ordered our candy white se 110 yeti 13 weeks ago after much research, test drives and reading reviews. Initially we were looking at roomsters until we decided to stretch our budget to the elusive yeti. After alot of discussion of colours and extras we went for candy white over our second choice muscovado. Hoping we havent made the wrong choice especially on the mucky rural aberdeenshire roads. We chose lumber support for this joiners bad back, heated windscreen for the hard scottish frosts and a dog guard for our large newfoundland dog Halle. Our new yeti arrived in uk a few days ago so just waiting for Sinclair Skoda to give us the call to tell us its ready!

Expecting it this week so overall 14 or 15 week wait we realise were lucky after hearing of people waiting 6 months. I am sure it must be worth the wait tho.

Lucky you - I'm hoping for mine around Christmas/New Year after ordering in mid-August but I suspect it may be even longer. We had exactly the same colour debate as you - loved the white but decided it would never look good in rural North Yorkshire so went for the Muscavado (good colour to cover cow muck!).

Welcome Andy - Candy White for me too - via practiaclly every other colour available - I'm sure it'll look good clean or dirty!

Welcome from me as well Andy. This is a great forum with great people.

I would have chosen Candy White had I not bought the dealer's demonstrator because I didn't have the patience to wait!

Interestingly, on that Yeti Adventure, quite a few of us liked the White Yeti, which seems to look clean no matter what!

And my Aqua Blue in front of Pat Monster seems none the worse either, tho not as pristine as Aero's white one.

Looking at both TP's Pat, and mine - they BOTH have a vertical line of accumulated dust up the middle of the rear window?????

Must be to do with aerodynamics! It was a great day out, and well run by Llanigraham in his (then) Freelander!

Hi TP, is that you opening a sandwich in the 1st pic :giggle:

Very handsome, you not bad either :D

No not me; that be the 'Tibetan' Monsters owner enjoying his picnic in the nice Welsh countryside :D

Welcome to the Candy White Club, must admit it does look good. My dear wife still not convinced we saw a Muscavado one in Ilkley this weekend and I had to agree it did look classy. But I'm sticking to my Candy White, can't wait, hopefully week 41 build week.

I suppose it bears to be repeated: Real yetis are (Candy) White B)

Love the pics plumber nice to see th yeti outwith a showroom actually getting used. Can anybody give me some titips on how to upload pics when our yeti arrives ? Im useless with computers ..

Another question was if you would all rcommend the mud flaps we were not sure how substantial they are for £20 a pair ? As long as they stop some stones and dirt spraying up the sides id be happy.. We are getting rubber yeti mats and after reading the topic on the protective foil (part no 5LO 807 905 B and 906 B)we are going to order them to avoid stone chipping.. Do they protect rear arch ?Or bottom of doors? Or are there several different foils available. Havent actually seen a picture yet of the foils.. The guys at Sinclair Skoda said they would fit the foils for us free but i was thinking i should apply myself after i seal the paint work with the werksttatt system ive orderd from polished bliss? Has any one had experience fitting them?? Another query is seat covers i no they dont look gret but dont want my seats getting covered in sawdust or oil! Can anyone recommend any?? Final question do the SE alloys come with locking wheelnuts ??

Thanks again Andy

p.s excuse the poor spelling and format of the post im a novice to the whole forum computer thing

Upload your pictures to something like http://imageshack.us/ or the Yeti Flickr page: http://www.flickr.co...skodayeti/pool/ Once the pictures are up on imageshack you can cut and paste the URL address of the pictures there (the one called Direct Link) or in Flickr right click on the image and then Properties and copy the URL there (if you are on Internet Explorer) or just right click and Copy URL if you are using Firefox.

Then click on the Green tree image icon above and paste the URL there.

You can also post any picture from any website in the same manner.

Mudflaps: here are some pics:

Protective foils: some dealers struggle to afix them as they are a bit tricky apparently so rather let them do it. They protect the front of the wheelarch. TP has pics somewhere that I can't lay my hands on right now.

All UK Yetis come with locking wheel nuts as standard.

I'll bet you're looking forward to getting your Yeti soon - the last few days are the worst! We got our 1.2 DSG a couple of weeks ago and are delighted with it. We've also got a big dog (and the Skoda dog guard) and have tried out a few things to maximise the room in the luggage are. Please feel free to get in touch (we're in Aberdeen beside the Cults Hotel) if you would like to see a few seat configurations. We also went for the mud flaps, heated seats and the protective foils and reckon they are all worthwhile additions.

Good luck.
