just been to the dealers to have the engine man light looked at and yes shes buggerd , as the thred states secondary air pump so dealer price £325.00 ecp and g&s 215.00 now my make can get me 1 for 195.00+ vat

been told common fault they usually fall to pieces. i can see the item and will prob be able to fit what do you guys think

any help would be greatfully received

Get rid of it (2nd air pump that is). Not required. Fit a catch can instead. aka Rob's Guide :thumbup:

its the wifes car not mine i drive a bmw e30 so she says fit a new 1 so i will cheers for the info though guys

£195,fix it for free,or remove it for free.Buy new one youv'e obviously got far too much money.

we are getting a new 1 next yr and px might well be a premium next yr at leist she will be as she was supposed to be

sorry to drag this thread up again. have read a lot of posts about fixing the secondary air pump and have searched the site for a while now with no joy.

i have an issue with my secondary air injector system stating 'incorrect flow' could someone point me in the right direction for the how2 for stripping and fixing the secondary air pump please.
