Tie rods

Featured Replies

Going to be replacing my track/tie rods very soon, the tapping/rattling is getting louder!

For refitting them the Hanyes manual says "care must be taken to apply the exact torque in this situation."

Is it any more important than any other nut/bolt on the car?

I'll need a crows foot adaptor for my torque wrench, will these work/fit over the tie rods?

Can anyone comfirm they should be 75Nm ?

TIA

If you use a crows foot spanner with a torque wrench, you need to use it at 90 degrees to the wrench head or use an online calculator to correct the torque.

I just checked the haynes manual and it doesnt give the torque setting.

I'd imagine that the torque settings come on your new track rod ends .

But i did find this that might be useful
