HELP: Tyre Pressure Warning and ESP warning lights on

Featured Replies

A couple of days ago whilst driving down the A1 both the ESP and Tyre pressure waring lights came on at the same time.

I pulled over and checked the tyre pressures - all were fine. Taking the remainder of the drive home cautiously when I got home, I checked the tyres again and they were still fine.

My understanding of the tyre pressure monitoring system is that it works by measuring the rotational speed of each wheel.

However I am still getting the warning lamps with the ignition on and the car stationary.

Has anyone any idea as to what the problem is likely to be.

I have my car booked in for service on 5th Oct and have mentioned this but am wondering whether the car is safe to drive?

ESP and TPM problem coming up would lead me to believe a wheel speed sensor to be at fault or something similar.

Perfectly safe to drive however you do not have traction control!

think you still have traction control but not ESP

Thanks, I was hoping it would something like that, car is still under warranty so hopefully can get it fixed pretty soon.
