Windscreen cleaning

Featured Replies

Every time I use the local jet washes, I end up with a wax coating on the windscreen even though I dont use the wax option, when it rains its all smeared on the outside making it hard to see when driving, especially with on coming traffic.

I have fitted new wipers but need a good product to get rid of the waxing any good suggestions,

I have tried one of those green scouring pads and washing up liquid that help for a while but next wash its back

Next time it rains pour a bottle of Coke ( the real coke) over the whole screen

Use wipers

Repeat.. Enjoy a crystal clean screen.. You will have to wash the car though.. but well worth it emoticon-0148-yes.gif

That's because the wax option contaminates the whole washer system.

Vinegar works anad Halfords do an intessive glass cutter.

Just use a household glass cleaner two or three times, that will shift it and do not forget to clean the blades.

I think you might have just answered a question I had about my blades squeaking.

I didn't realise that the wax was coming from the jetwash. Makes sense now.
