Terminal 50 in Measuring Blocks, Help needed.

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm an experienced user of Vagcom but hoping someone can help me out,

My wipers have stopped working so i hooked it up to the laptop and it came back with code 02071.

I just want to make sure it's not the relay before I replace the wiper motor.

My own fault for putting Aftermarket HID's

Any help welcomed

Known issue with aftermarket HIDs, they tend to blow the motor. Had such cases over a dozen times now, never been the relay so far...

So its just a case of replacing the Wiper motor? :( my own fault!

Anything particular about them, cheap kits or something else? (Eg electrical noise not suppressed on the lines)

The ballasts should be grounded directly to the chassis. If you just connect them to a convenient ground wire, then you are asking for trouble. HF noise and motors don't mix.

So basically bolt them to the metal work.. which of course isn't mentioned.

TBH I've given up on the idea and am trying to find some good quality H7 all weather/yellowed bulbs.

Did you use a CAN-BUS Hid system and with low voltage startup???

Their is a way with Vagcom to tell the sysytem that you have Xenon even though it is aftertmarket kit.

This will eliminate the chance burning wiper motors.

How does that eliminate said damage?
