Whooops I'm an eejit. I meant the plastic bits on the outside of the doors that are supposed to stop other car doors hitting your doors.

In that case they're just self adhesive.

Hairdryer to soften adhesive.

Mind your paintwork, it can often be bubbled underneath.

There are no holes though.

Start at one end with a flat screwdriver wrapped around a couple of times with a cloth. Get under the end and it should start lifting - be "gentle but surefooted" with it. Once you get enough lifted you can just tease it off by hand. Once it is off, you may as well throw it away as it will be deformed. The glue can be removed using a rolling technique with a thumb, then tar remover gets the residue off fine.

But, The rub strip does look a whole lot nicer than a door full of parking dings!

It already has some. It's been noted on some posts that they aren't at the right height to stop door dings.

Mine didn't stop my door getting dinged...
